Karolina Golachowska

In 2014, during my legal studies, I made a decision to become a member of the Student Organization of Medical Law at the Jagiellonian University, and from June 2015 to June 2016, I had the honour of being the Head of it. Working for this organisation gave me the opportunity to organize nationwide scientific conferences and regular meetings with experts in such fields as law, medicine or pharmacy, during which I had the opportunity to acquire knowledge in the field of medical law.

In July 2015, I took an internship at the Office of the Patient's Ombudsman in Warsaw, and in October 2015, I started working at the Budzowska Fiutowski i Partnerzy Law Firm, in which I try to expand my knowledge to this day. I have the opportunity to develop my interest in this area of law as a member of the dedicated personal injury team. Working at the Law Firm taught me that the theory often does not coincide with the practice, and that medical negligence cases are challenges that require vast knowledge and experience. Due to the fact that in the future I would like to practice as a legal counsel, in January 2018 I started my legal counsel apprenticeship at the District Chamber of Legal Counsels in Krakow.

I like to spend my free time in a circle of close friends or reading a book, and the best form of escape for me would be physical activity, mainly pilates, or exercising at the gym.
