The number of foreign patients who receive treatment in Poland, either by choice (plastic surgery, orthopaedic, dental or prosthetic treatment) or by necessity (e.g. following a road traffic accident) is steadily growing. No wonder that the consequences of medial negligence also affect foreigners. In her speech directed to lawyers from all over Europe, Atty. Budzowska discussed legal provisions and relevant case law that apply in such cases, even if the injured patient pursues a compensation claim for medical negligence at his country of residence.
