In addition, a part of the conference was devoted to a comparative panel discussion on European road traffic accidents, and in particular the issues of the injured party's contribution to the damage, as well as the principle of liability. During this panel, attorney Michał Krzanowski discussed the various legal solutions applicable in Poland. Lawyers from France, Spain and the United Kingdom also participated in the panel.
The common denominator of all the topics discussed during the conference was to find those solutions that are the most favorable to the injured, especially in complicated cross-border cases. Brexit makes it much more difficult, and sometimes even impossible, to pursue claims within the UK - which, for many reasons, is beneficial to injured parties. The new reality therefore requires international cooperation between Personal Injury lawyers, in the best interests of the injured.
