The conference program focused on cross-border litigation issues, including an example of co-counselling a specific medical negligence case between two UK and Spanish law firms, presented by lawyers from those firms, important knowledge about applying foreign law in regard to the issue of interest, in particular in respect of Spanish provisions on penalty interest, as well as a comparative panel discussion on running clinical negligence abroad, between four specific jurisdictions: the UK, Sweden, Turkey and Poland, and focusing on liability and causation issues.

During this panel discussion, attorney Michał Krzanowski presented the position in Poland, providing insight both in regard to theoretical legal concepts, as well as their practical application in real life medical negligence cases in Poland.

The common denominator of all the topics discussed during the conference was to find those solutions that are the most favourable to the injured, especially in complicated cross-border cases. It has once again become apparent that these cases require diligent cooperation between Personal Injury lawyers from various countries, all in the best interests of the injured.
