Ms Jolanta Budzowska, a partner in the law firm BUDZOWSKA FIUTOWSKI AND PARTNERS. Legal Counsels, has recently taken part in the fourteenth European Traffic Law Days – an recurring international conference, this time around held in Luxembourg on 9 – 10 October 2014.
The European Traffic Law Days are organized by the Institute for European Traffic Law, a Luxembourg-based association consisting of eminent European traffic law experts dedicated to the study, improvement and further development of the laws relating to mobility in Europe. The Institute is a forum attracting the interest groups most directly concerned by traffic law, thus giving the conference topics, selected by it’s members, particular relevance for the development of traffic law in Europe.
The topics discussed during the recent conference included a comparative legal analysis and a clear determination of the underlying principles in regard to the compensation of personal injury by motor vehicle insurers, in particular with respect to the compensation of the deceased’s close relatives. Additionally, other important topics such as data protection and combating fraud, as well as issues of private international law in the case of cross-border traffic accidents, were also addressed in detail during the conference.
Ms Budzowska’s participation in the conference furthers our law firm’s ongoing goal of providing our international clients expert legal advice in relation to personal injury cases.
