The case has been in the center of media’a attention both in Poland and abroad due to its twofold component: one is the matter of a medical error, the second is the question of whether the doctors’ actions were influenced by tighter restrictions of Polish abortion law, introduced in 2020 by the judgement of the Constitutional Tribunal.
