Mr. Benedykt Fiutowski, legal counsel, attending the Polish Congress of Court Disputes, Mediation and Arbitration [06.2013]

The Polish Congress of Court Disputes, Mediation and Arbitration, held by the Allerhand Institute on the 25th of June 2013 in Warsaw, was the first conference dedicated to the topic of court proceedings in several years. One of the main issues which were raised during the Congress was that of the prolixity of court proceedings, and the possible solutions to this occurrence.

Between the 30th of May and the 2nd of June 2013 yet another Jurismus congress has taken place – this time, in Madrid. Jurismus is an international organization uniting young lawyers from over 650 law firms across Europe. Mrs. Karolina Kolary, legal counsel and Mr. Michał Sikora, legal counsel, took part in the event on behalf of the BFP law firm.

Public Hearing on media freedom – Mr. Benedykt Fiutowski, legal counsel, in the European Parliament

On 5 June 2012 in the European Parliament there was held a public hearing and a debate on media freedom in Poland. Their goal was to focus the interest of the representatives of the European Union institutions and the citizens of the Member States on the issue of respecting the principle of freedom of expression in the media and on the attention for their pluralism. The European Economic Congress

Jolanta Budzowska participated in the fourth European Economic Congress in Katowice. As a part of the latter, on 15 May 2012, there took place the Second Congress of Private Hospitals. The European substantive part of the discussions involved the Directive 2011/24/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 9 March 2011 on the application of patients’ rights in cross-border healthcare, which becomes effective on 25 October 2013.
