Anna Puchała

Since I was a kid, I had the chance to experience how the work in hospitals looks like from the inside. The commitment of doctors, and of the rest of the medical staff, has made a great impression on me. At that time the plans of studying medicine in the future started to grow in me. However, at the end of the day, in 2012 I started to study law at the Jagiellonian Univeristy in Cracow. While looking for an area in which I could eventually specialize, I decided to be a part of the medical law student’s organisation at the university. At that moment I found out that my childhood dream – to help patients - could be realised by working as a lawyer. In October 2016 I started to work at the BFP Law Firm. Thanks to the experience gained while still being a student I was able to use my knowledge in practice, and more importantly, I solidified my choice of medical law as the area of my future professional work.

Currently I am continuing my legal counsel apprenticeship, and at the same time, thanks to my work at the Law Firm, I am gaining practical experience in the area of medical law, as well as many different areas of medicine itself. I am fully convinced that every single case needs to be approached individually, and with the appropriate carefulness - as the respect towards the patient, and every single person, demands it.
